In this 1-day, 7-hour session, you’ll learn the core skills and knowledge to produce consistently excellent espresso based drinks and manage a professional coffee station.

Efficient setup, bar organisation, and workflow management.
3. espresso process
From storage and grinding to dosing and proper extraction.
4. extraction & brewing
Grinder calibration and how to achieve espresso consistency.
5. milk
Milk chemistry and steaming technique for smooth microfoam.
6. espresso-based menu
How to build, create, and balance a winning drinks menu.
7. cleaning, health & safety
Daily maintenance routines to keep equipment performing at its best.
8. customer service
Communication, time-management, and professionalism on the bar.
course includes:
- Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) certificate
- Lunch and training materials
requirements:
Participants must provide Bell Lane with an SCA Learner Number (obtained for free via sca.coffee) at checkout.
The course concludes with a practical exam during the session and a theoretical exam online (available for 21 days after). Successful candidates receive a digital SCA certificate via their learner profile.
