Duberney Cifuentes

Duberney is a third-generation coffee farmer who learned the trade from his father. His mother passed away when he was just a little child, and Duberney was raised by other relatives. In 2004 Duberney inherited the farm from his mother. At that stage the farm had no coffee plants and no buildings at all. Duberney, together with his wife and their two children, started to plant coffee and build the infrastructure on the farm. Duberney grew more interested in specialty coffee and participated in various training programmes organised in the town of Planadas. There he learned more about farm processes and how to improve the quality of his coffee. Over the past years Duberney has participated in various contests, achieving great results at auction and winning multiple awards. One of his main goals now is to find a long-term relationship with a client.
