This Coffee's Story

A cross between Catimor and Bourbon, Anacafé 14 was originally bred for leaf rust resistance and high yield, not flavour. Yet the result surprised everyone: a compact, resilient plant with exceptional cup quality. Released by ANACAFÉ in 2014, its name marks the year it entered commercial production.

For this lot, Enrique applies his Black Honey method, an extended rest in cherry before depulping to deepen ripe fruit sweetness and complexity. The coffee is then dried under a careful balance of sun and shade, preserving clarity, structure, and a syrupy, fruit-forward profile in the cup.
