Finca Las Flores was founded in 2006 when they began planting Caturra, Typica and Bourbon trees. Their first crop was harvested in 2009, and it was small, only ten
quintales. Finca Las Flores has won local, national, and International renown. They have been awarded for their differentiated cup quality by winning 2nd place in the Chanchamayo FICAFE, 8th place in Peru’s Cup of Excellence 2017, and 3rd place in the AVPA 2017 Paris contest in the category of Citric Aromatic Roasted Coffee.
Reynaldo is the second generation of the Flores family to be involved in coffee. They run the entire farm with organic fertilisers and matter. To bring the coffee to the road, they installed a tube where they send coffee beans with pulp to a lower altitude base where they are fermented, washed, dried, and stored. This coffee was short-listed by the Cup of Excellence (COE) jury in Peru this year. This lot did not make it to the international
phase. However, this is an outstanding coffee amongst the best the country can offer!
