Espresso Roast – This roast profile is suited for espresso-based drinks, this profile gives more bold characters associated with espresso drinks. It can be used for filter methods, but expect less acidity in the cup.


All single origins will be roasted on Wednesday and shipped on Thursday, cut off dates for same week orders is Wednesday 1 pm.


Due to the nature of coffee and how it reacts to the air after being ground, we recommend purchasing this coffee as whole bean. However, should you not have access to a grinder, we can grind it for you here.



Finca La Soledad is located in the town of Buena Vista Michicoy in San Pedro Necta, Huehuetenango at an altitude 1600 masl. David Arcangel Ruiz is the owner of this very nice and small farm. As a small producer, he is putting all his effort into creating an outstanding cup profile. La Soledad is situated between two breathtaking mountains. Don Davis grows just 385 coffee trees in a mix of varieties: Green and Red Pache, and Bourbon. Once coffees on Soledad farm are picked, they are depulped the same day, and fermented dry for about 24 hours before being washed three times. Then they are spread on concrete shaded patios or nylon tarps to dry for 4–5 days.
